Reesers Landing to Union Meadows

Event Location: This Pedal & Paddle event will begin at Reesers Landing in Birdsboro, located at 1018 Gibraltar Rd., Birdsboro, PA 19508. There will be a Schuylkill River Greenways and Take It Outdoors staff members to help direct you. Plan to arrive a few minutes early to confirm all necessary waivers have been signed.

Event Description: This program is a PADDLE ONLY event which includes a group guided 5-mile paddle on the Schuylkill River. Starting at Reesers Landing and ending at Union Meadows Park where we’ll have dinner. All gear, certified guides, and food are included. Must be 16 or older to participate. All events limited to 15 participants.

What to Bring: All equipment, including bikes, kayaks, paddles and personal flotation devices (PFDs) are provided, and a box lunch will be served. However, it is recommended that you bring the following items.

• Prefilled water bottle/s with at least 32 ounces of water per participant
• Sunscreen
• Insect repellent
• Hat & Sunglasses
• Water shoes or old sneakers (backless sandals and crocs aren’t recommended)
• Bike helmet (we do have extras if you don’t have your own)
• Dry bag

Any items, such as cellphones or keys that you do not wish to bring on the water with you, can be left with staff prior to the start of the event.

Itinerary: Please note all times are approximate.

6:00 PM – Introduction and bike safety briefing.

6:15 PM – Begin 5-mile paddle down the Schuylkill River

8:15 PM – Arrive at Union Meadows Park for dinner

8:45 PM- Get on shuttle van back to Reesers Landing
