Join 100+ kayakers for an 8-mile guided paddle from Walnut Street Dock to Fort Mifflin, followed by a celebration with food, drinks, ice cream, and tours!

There are two ways to join in the fun! Register for the entire day's activites or join us for dinner and tours only. 

 

Saturday, July 11th, Itinerary:

  • 9:30-10:30AM –  FORT MIFFLIN PADDLER check In for paddlers who are bringing their own boats and vehicles (boats will have been dropped off prior to the event, see information below.)
  • 10:30AM - Lunch hand out, welcome remarks and TIO safety briefing #1 (for Fort Mifflin paddlers)
  • 11:00AM - Fort Mifflin paddlers load into shuttle to Walnut Street
  • 11:30AM - Shuttle Arrives at Walnut Street 
  • 10:00 - 11:00AM - WALNUT STREET PADDLER check In and lunch hand out for paddlers who have no vehicle
  • 11:00AM - TIO safety briefing #2 (for Walnut Street padders)
  • 11:15 - 11:45AM - Decorate Your Boat and eat your box lunch
  • 12:00PM - Everyone on the Water
  • 1:00PM - Launch Time!
  • 4:00 - 4:15PM - Arrive at Fort Mifflin for the Celebration
  • 4:15 - 5:00PM - Take Out and get cleaned up
  • 5:00 - 7:30PM - Dinner, Drinks, & Tours

*For those joining us for dinner and tours only, please be sure to arrive at 5:00pm.

*(Please note, if you are starting at Walnut Street, there is NO SHUTTLE BACK after event. Please plan accordingly.)

Bringing your own boat? Here is what you need to know:

Boats must meet specific requirements for this event including:

  • Must be a minimum of 10ft in length
  • Must have two bulk heads or floation bags
  • Must be emptied of all personal belongings including paddles, PFDs, sponges, cockpit covers, skirts, etc (SRG and TIO are not responsible for lost or stolen items)
  • If you have specific boat questions, please call Take it Outdoors at 610-656-3969

You MUST drop your boat off with Take It Outdoors prior to the event, and you will be responsible for taking your boat home from the Fort Mifflin ending point. You have TWO options for boat drop off. You can drop off at the Take It Outdoors office on the dates and times listed below. The Take It Outdoors office is located at 140 College Dr Pottstown, PA 19464.

The dates and times of drop off at Take it Outdoors office in Pottstown are:

  • July 3rd - 5th (9:00am-4:00pm)
  • July 6th & 7th- NO DROP OFFS
  • July 8th (9:00am-6:00pm)
  • July 9th (9:00am-4:00pm)

Alternatively, you can make arraingments with Take it Outdoors to drop your boat off on Friday July 10th (the day before the event) at the Walnut Street Dock from 1:00pm - 6:00pm by calling 610-656-3969 and scheduling a drop off time.

At the end of the flotilla, all boats must be transported home. It is recommended that you choose the Fort Mifflin starting point and park at Fort Mifflin if you are bringing your own boat. There will be NO SHUTTLE for people or boats back to Walnut Street after the event.

If you are renting from a boat from Take It Outdoors you may start from either the Walnut Street Dock or Fort Mifflin. Please keep in mind if starting from Walnut Street there will be NO SHUTTLE back to Walnut Street after the event. Please plan accordingly.

Philly Phlotilla T-Shirts will be available for purchase through our webstore prior to the event. All purchases can be picked up the day of the event at registration. The link for these items will be provided in your ticket confirmation email. There will also be a limited supply of merchandise for sale at Fort Mifflin after the paddle is completed.
