Event Description: Join us in Philadelphia on Sunday, August 24th starting at 1:00PM to discover the history of the Schuylkill River on a walking and river boat tour. Our 1-hour walking tour will be led by, Bob Thomas, a member of the Tidal Schuylkill Committee. He will discuss with our group some of the local history along the river as we venture down the boardwalk. After that, we will take a little break for some light snacks and drinks. Then the group will head over to the Walnut Street Dock to board the Patriot to begin our River Boat Tour: Secrets of the Schuylkill. This 1-hour river tour will bring to life the historic areas of Bartram's Garden, Fairmount Water Works, and much more. Must be 13 or older to participate. Please wear comfortable walking shoes.

Itinerary: Please note all times are approximate.
1:00PM – Meet on the SRT for walking tour.
2:00PM – Break for a small snack and drink.
2:45PM - Meet at dock for River Boat Tour: Secrets of the Schuylkill
3:00PM - River Boat Tour begins
4:15PM – Arrive back at the dock. Event over.
