Green Lane Reservoir with Big Canoes 

Event Location: This Pedal & Paddle event will be held at Green Lane Reservoir, located at 1051 Walt Rd. Pennsburg, PA 18073. There will be a staff member from Schuylkill River Greenways and Take It Outdoors to help direct you to the parking area. Plan to arrive a few minutes early to confirm all necessary waivers have been signed.

Event Description: Have you ever driven by the Green Lane Reservoir and wish you could go paddling out there? Well, you’re in luck! This Pedal & Paddle program is a paddle only adventure on the Green Lane Reservoir in our BIG 10-person canoes! We have two of these big canoes that are 26 ft. long! This event begins and ends from the same location at Green Lane Reservoir. During this excursion you will paddle around the Reservoir taking in all the beautiful spring scenery and wildlife. Drinks and snacks will be provided. All gear, certified guides and food are included. Must be 16 or older to participate. All events limited to 15 participants.

What to Bring: All equipment, including canoes, paddles and personal flotation devices (PFDs) are provided. However, it is recommended that you bring the following items.

• Prefilled water bottle with at least 32 ounces of water per participant
• Sunscreen
• Insect repellent
• Hat & Sunglasses
• Water shoes or old sneakers (backless sandals and crocs aren’t recommended)
• Dry bag

Any items, such as cellphones or keys that you do not wish to bring on the water with you can be left with staff prior to the start of the event.

Itinerary: Please note all times are approximate.

5:00PM – Introduction and canoe safety briefing

5:15PM – Begin guided paddle around the Green Lane Reservoir

7:00PM – Arrive back at the launch.
