- Description:
Explore the watershed on Schuylkill Explorers Day on August 8th at Riverfront Park, Pottstown! Kids aged 6-10 are invited to join us for our interactive watershed model, watershed games, and do some hands-on macroinvertebrate sampling in the Manatawny Creek. Registration is limited to 15 participants (not including guardians) and you can register here. This is not a drop off event, guardians are expected to stay with their children.
- What to Bring:
- Pre-filled water bottle/s with at least 32oz of water.
- Sunscreen
- Insect repellant
- Hat
- Water shoes or old sneakers that can get wet (backless sandals and Crocs are not permitted)
- Wear clothes that you are comfortable getting WET
- Itinerary:
- 9am: Introduction to watersheds with Enviroscape
- 9:30am: The Incredible Journey of Water
- 10am: Macroinvertebrate sampling
